❓ What is all this? Balls fighting?

Ham's Ball Battles is a competitive simulation between physics-based ball fighters, commonly referred to as Weapon Balls. Each ball is equipped with something that makes it unique, and fights until one competitor is defeated. There are many types of Weapon Ball leagues out there, and this particular one is themed around the aesthetics of an era long since passed.

❓ Is this a game? Can I play it?

The ball battles currently run inside a physics simulation built in Unity. There are early plans to develop it into a playable game, but for now it operates purely as a simulator driving the fights you see in the videos.

❓ When are videos uploaded?

Videos go up every day on the following schedule (all times Eastern Standard Time):

  • Weekdays: 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM
  • Weekends: 12:00 PM, 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM
❓ How do the balls work?

Each ball starts with 100 HP unless otherwise noted. There are three classes of Weapon Ball:

  • Unarmed: Uses no weapon, dealing damage purely through body contact. Each one has a unique mechanic that defines how it fights.
  • Melee: Wields a physical weapon to deal damage. Body contact alone does not hurt opponents; only the weapon itself counts.
  • Ranged: Fires or releases projectiles to deal damage. Like melee balls, neither the ball's body nor its weapon deals damage on direct contact. Only what it fires does damage.
❓ How do Seasons work?

A season is a defined set of matches culminating in the top performers competing for the season crown. There have been three seasons so far:

  • Season 0: The initial season. Random 1v1 matchups with no formal structure.
  • Season 1: First official season with recorded stats. King of the Ring format. The winner stays in until defeated.
  • Season 2: Double elimination tournament. Winners advance through the Winner's Bracket; a loss drops a ball to the Loser's Bracket. A second loss results in elimination. CURRENT SEASON
  • Season 3: Upcoming season. 2v2 Team Battles Tournament.
❓ Can I bet on this?

Not with real money, but you can join the Discord community to wager digital currency on the fights. Betting closes 5 minutes before a match airs, and payouts are distributed roughly 5 minutes after the video goes live.

❓ Where are the videos posted?

Videos are released across four platforms in the following order:
