Otis fell asleep, and when he woke up, he found himself in a tournament. Unfortunately, his two opponents ended up countering his style a little too well, and before he knew it he was knocked out. He doesn't mind much though. He gets more time to sleep. As he lay asleep outside the arena following his elimination. The old soul, Al, saw him and liked his style. From there, Otis was made an offer to form a team in the next season. Otis, of course, gladly accepted Al's proposal, then promptly fell asleep again.
Not only is this shield great for blocking, it comes equipped with four spikes, two on either end and two in front, each dealing 4 damage on contact.
The center of the shield acts as a reflector, turning incoming projectiles back toward their sender and dealing the same damage they would have normally.
Incoming projectiles trigger Otis's self-protection reflex, causing him to bring his shield in front of him to intercept the threat. This only works while he is awake. Otis falls asleep quite often, and while sleeping his shield simply rotates aimlessly around him with no control. Taking a hit wakes him up.
